isolation melodrama noise

THE STORY: a man is delivered by plane to the arctice circle and left to deal with it and his mind fading before him as he is preserved in an icy wind. call it a metaphor for how i was feeling at the time.

Recorded using various found tapes and palindrome recording method
lots of field samples
lots of intentional lo-fi and bizarre methods of sound capture
example: mic on a drone being produced through a PA in my shared living room, cable running down the hall and into a practice amp in my roommate's bathroom, micing separately what was going on in the bathroom onto the tape to produce 1 of 8 consecutive 23-minute takes piling on layers upon layers of noise to give myself something to think about when i couldn't feel anything for a month or two. pretty cool.
